PopZone: match the zone name to its outline
PopZone tests how well you know GTA V's named areas. Each round shows an official zone name, and you select its outline from unlabeled shapes on the map. It suits players who know Los Santos and Blaine County by name, and it is the purest map-knowledge mode in this GTA 5 map guessing game.

How PopZone works
A game has 5 rounds of 30 seconds. Each round names a zone, such as Mirror Park or Grapeseed, and the map shows unlabeled outlines for the zones in the selected regions, leaving out any that overlap the answer. One of them is the named zone. Choose the matching outline and submit it before the clock runs out.
The outlines are the official zone footprints, merged so each place appears once. Zones that overlap the answer are never offered as choices, so you will not have to pick between 2 stacked areas. Region settings decide which zones can appear, and a Custom game can limit the pool to one region.
Scoring in PopZone
The correct outline is worth 5,000 points, plus the normal speed bonus of up to 10% when you pick it manually. New games use proximity scoring by default, so a wrong zone still earns points based on how close it is to the target, and closer zones earn more.
A Custom game can switch proximity scoring off, which makes each round all or nothing: 5,000 for the matching zone and 0 for any other choice. Official solo runs with all regions go on the weekly board, ranked by average points per round.
Solo, party and study
PopZone is available solo and in an invite party. In a party everyone gets the same zone name and the same set of outlines, which makes it a quick quiz round between longer Classic games. The shared 3-second countdown starts once everyone is ready, with at most 20 seconds of waiting.
PopZone is also a study tool. After each round the correct area is shown next to yours, and learning where named places sit pays off in every other mode, where knowing the shape of a district helps you place a pin with confidence.
PopZone tips
Anchor to what you know. Fix Downtown, the airport and the Alamo Sea in your head first, then judge where the named zone sits relative to them.
Use the coastline. If the named place is on the water, such as Paleto Bay or Vespucci Beach, the correct outline has to touch the shore.
Learn the names that sound alike. Vespucci, Vespucci Canals and Vespucci Beach are separate zones, as are Vinewood, West Vinewood and Downtown Vinewood.
When torn between 2 outlines, pick the one closer to where you believe the zone sits. With proximity scoring, a near miss still earns points.
