Speedrun: full points for 5 seconds, then it drains
Speedrun rewards finding a location fast. Each round keeps full accuracy points for the first 5 seconds, then the value drains steadily until the 30-second mark. It suits players who know Los Santos well enough to act on a first impression, and it is the most time-sensitive mode in this GTA 5 map guessing game.

How Speedrun works
A game has 5 rounds of 30 seconds, with normal walking, looking and zoom. The round clock starts after the 3-second countdown, so loading never eats into your grace period. Speedrun is not Blitz under another name: Blitz gives a short fixed clock with normal scoring, while here the clock itself shrinks what your pin is worth.
The round result shows the time decay as its own line next to accuracy, so you can tell if the points went to distance or to hesitation. There is no extra speed bonus on top; the decay replaces it completely.
The decay formula
Your accuracy A comes from the normal curve, up to 5,000 points. It is multiplied by a time factor F = (30 - elapsed) / (30 - 5), held between 0 and 1. For the first 5 seconds F is 1. At 10 seconds it is 0.8, at 17.5 seconds 0.5, and at 30 seconds it reaches 0.
The round score is A × F, rounded, with a travel deduction only if a Custom game turns one on. In practice, a perfect pin at 20 seconds earns 2,000 points and loses to a 1 km miss at 6 seconds, which earns 3,616. Speed beats precision here more often than players expect.
Solo, party and custom grace
Speedrun is available solo and in an invite party. Official solo runs with all regions go on the weekly board, ranked by average points per round. Custom games can change the full-score grace period, which is a good way to practice on a gentler curve before chasing a ranked run.
In a party, Speedrun becomes a race. Everyone sees the same location, and every second of hesitation costs a visible share of the round. It works best with players who know the map at a similar level, since one quick recognition can swing a whole game.
Speedrun tips
Use the grace period to look, not to walk. A full camera turn takes about a second and often answers the question outright.
Pin the district, not the doorway. Improving from 500 m to 100 m gains roughly 400 points, which the decay takes back in about 2 seconds.
Learn instant anchors: the Downtown towers, the Ferris wheel on Del Perro Pier, the Vinewood sign on the hills and the Alamo Sea each give you a region in one glance.
Commit by the halfway point. After 17.5 seconds even a perfect pin is worth at most 2,500 points, so an early reasonable guess usually beats a late careful one.
